CHIRAS PELAS, CALACAS FLACAS.

El Caracol is an Mexican organization founded 12 years ago dedicated to providing hole attention to youths in the street or facing social risk, based in the primary participation and in the exercising of Child rights, which are reflected in the research, development and socialization of methods of intervention, as well as educational material, such as the following list of videos that we invite you to see and think about.

To live in the streets carries mistreatment, extortion, aggressions, together with overdose, reason why in more than an occasion, reason why in more than an occasion they lose the concentration, and with it the life can go.

Amongst those living on the street the theme of death is present at all times. The street dynamic exposes street youth to accidents or to violence which can put them between life and death, on the street the loss of concentration for an instant can result in significant pain and death.

CHILDREN’S VOICES

The streets of the city have an important presence for street youths who have earned their public areas by facing discrimination, persecution and pitiful charity.

However, the numbers continue to grow and the problems that accompany street youths become more complex. For this reason professional interventions with a broad spectrum are required in order to make an impact on this social phenomenon.

In ordered to make an impact on the rights of this excluded population, El Caracol promoted Va derecho... voces de la infancia, a campaign to make heard the voices of street youths as well at those at risk of social exclusion by means of 10 post cards and 3 radio spots.
